Founder Doug Hansen grew up in Southwest Missouri in a predominantly Hispanic community, where he witnessed the impact of poverty, language barriers, and unequal access to legal representation. Those early experiences shaped his lifelong commitment to advocating for immigrant families.
Partner Joshua Joyce brings a global perspective shaped by lived experience across cultures and conflict zones. From studying in Québec without speaking French to completing high school in Côte d’Ivoire during political unrest, he understands firsthand the uncertainty and displacement many immigrants face. His family’s own immigration story further reinforces his dedication to this work.
